We restore, and offer only a specialized selection of the finest of these wonderful older instruments at fair, affordable prices.

All restoration work is done by Fall Creek's fine craftspeople.  All tuning is done by Bill Youhass.  Restored instruments come with a 1 year tuning warrantee.

Consignment Instruments

Consignment instruments are carefully screened.  We offer only those instruments in 'very good' to like-new condition.  We will tune consignment instruments once at ANY TIME at 50% off the current tuning fee.

  • Excellent condition with the exception of paint flaking on the frame- easily repainted
  • Bars are the exact same design as the Deagan #40, also designed by Claire Musser when he worked for Deagan

  • Ivory frame with gold trim and hidden wheels
  • Thermodyne resonator tuning system allowing ease of adjusting the resonator height to accommodate changes in temperature and humidity

  • A new DeMorrow 5.3 today would cost more than $20,000.

  • Resonators are in perfect condition, original plating is intact

  • Very good condition
  • Beautiful looking, beautiful sounding instrument
  • Made between 1961-69
  • Purchased in 1973 from original owner
  • Kept in temperature and humidity controlled home
  • Frame is solid
  • Includes a set of fiber cases
  • "Something had splattered on resonators before I purchased in '73 (see photo)
  • Small end piece has some white scuffs.
  • Finish is 'crazed' on all bars. (See photo)
  • Three bars each have one small edge area where finish is 'dinged' off.

  • In excellent condition
  • Includes original trunks
  • Purchased in 1970 from second owner
  • Very, very resonant bars
  • There is no name on the name plate because the last 10 instruments were built before the players joined the IMSO.
  • Included are a letter from the owner stating that she studied with Musser, even playing on his own Canterbury, and how she found the King George marimba.
  • Also, copies of a photo of Musser and another of the IMSO, plus copies of several letters from Musser to the owner.

  • In very good condition with the expected cosmetic wear on the frame
  • Bars in very good condition
  • Owner studied with Musser in California, gave concerts through high school, and then studied music at Northwestern. Photo is of him receiving an award at age 15. After college he decided to pursue a different career and the marimba has been stored at home ever since.
