Examples of our work:

Deagan #352 Marimba When we received this marimba the finish on the bars, rails and end blocks was 90% gone. Resonators and all hardware were seriously rusted and pitted and several parts were missing, including the center support pipe. The rails and end blocks had deep gouges, almost no finish and water damage causing seriously raised grain. To return this instrument to its original pristine condition: Bars were tuned and refinished New braces and center pipe were fabricated Resonators, tubular stand and metal plates were nickel plated Rails and end blocks were repaired, sanded and refinished Felt was removed, bar pins polished and new insulators and cord installed

DEAGAN #870 Xylophone This xylophone had smoke and heat damage having been near a fire. However the bars had no permanent damage so restoration was viable. Resonators had many cracks and virtually no finish left. The finish on the rails was 'spackled' due to the heat. The cast "Y" joints were cracked. Most of the bar posts were bent and many broke off when removing. One rail was too warped to use. Restorations on this instrument included: Rails and end blocks were stripped, sanded and refinished One warped rail was replaced Resonator cracks were repaired Resonators were nickel plated New braces and knurled knobs were fabricated - including the center pipe. Then all stand parts and metal plates were nickel plated. New rosewood resonator height adjusters were made New bar posts, insulators, felt, cord and springs were installed 4” lockable casters were installed with hand threaded plugs for easy of removal

LEEDY #5616 SOLO-TONE Xylophone We started with only the bars, resonators and rails. Restoration work on this instrument included: Bare tuned and refinished Rails stripped, lacquered in white and pearl laminate added New end blocks fabricated Resonators polished Custom Fall Creek “Vintage” style stainless steel tubular stand fabricated Pearl veneer applied

DEAGAN #1123 - Round Top Glockenspiel

Restoration work on this instrument included:

DEAGAN #932 Xylophone The bars on this xylophone had worn finish and, well you can see. Several bars had splintering. The wood parts of the stand had serious cosmetic and structural damage. The resonators had been dropped and were damaged with many tubes loose. Restoration work on this instrument included: Bars tuned and refinished Several new bars Rails and ends sanded, filled and painted Resonators stripped, anodized and straightened

DEAGAN #872 Xylophone We received a hodge-podge of parts-some mixed in from other models, some bent, some that had been anodized in green, broken rails and some just missing. There were also a number of damaged bars and replacement bars from other instruments that did not match the 872. All in all, a total disaster. But we.... Refinished and tuned bars, many of which had previously had ‘5ths’ added Fabricated new bars when necessary Repaired rails and made new end blocks Plated all hardware, made new 45 degree braces, low end block brace and mounted 4” lockable casters in hand-machined fittings on each leg Fabricated knurled knobs Added new felt, bar pins, insulators and cord
